We competed with 25 other great quartets from the Evergreen District on Friday night at the Spokane Convention Center. 10 of those quartets moved on to the final round on Saturday night. We were fortunate enough to come away as the winners on both nights and held the highest scores in all three judging categories of Music, Singing and Presentation.
After two rounds of competition Quadraphonics was crowned champs of Evergreen District of the Barbershop Harmony Society. 26 quartets and 28 choruses crossed the stage this weekend at the Spokane Convention Center. When it was all done we had two day, combined score, of 2828 points for a 78.6 average. We also had the highest score in all three judging categories. This is Dean’s fourth District win (two in the Far West District, and now two in Evergreen), Ken’s third win (Rocky Mountain, Far West and now Evergreen), Steve’s second (both Evergreen), and Bryan’s first.
Quadraphonics is headed to Spokane, WA to compete in the Evergreen District Fall Convention and Competition. Convention is Friday, September 30th at the Spokane Convention Center. We will be competing Friday for a chance at the Quartet Competition Finals on Saturday night. Lots of other great quartets will be there as well so wish us luck. Better yet… Come to Spokane and cheer us on. More info can be found at http://www.pagesofharmony.org/

Getting ready for this weekend. Saturday, February 12th we’re performing on two shows for the Canby, OR chapter. This will be our first “official” performance as a quartet. New outfits and all. Show flyer here http://www.evg.org/canby/AnnualShow.htm
So here is the first post on our website. Just got back from Mid Winter convention in Las Vegas. Had a couple of good rehearsals. Only our 4th rehearsal together and things are going pretty well. There are “moments” of greatness. Hopefully more work will cause more of those “moments”
So anyway. Stay tuned for updates. I’ll get some bio’s up here and a little history on the Quartet. Although at this point there really is very little history.
